Meet Our Director of Dining Services

Uwe Werner leads the 45-person culinary team serving meals to more than 200 residents and guests daily. He has a bachelor’s degree in international hotel and restaurant management from the Hotel Management School in Heidelberg, Germany, and received his certification in baking and pastry from the Culinary Institute of America.

His Method
“My goal is to keep our menu interesting and provide a wide variety of options. I meet with a group of residents regularly to determine their likes and dislikes and incorporate their feedback into my culinary creations.”

His Hobbies
When not making fresh, delicious meals at New Pond Village, Uwe enjoys being outdoors and food photography.
