Paul McMurtry, New Pond Village Resident Council President John Tincler, Benchmark Senior Living Chairman and CEO Tom Grape, New Pond Village Campus Executive Director Adam Manchester and State Sen. Paul Feeney pose with official citations from the Massachusetts House of Representatives and Senate.

More than 100 people attended the celebration, including Benchmark Senior Living Chairman and CEO Tom Grape.

“We are the first community in Walpole to offer support to those with Alzheimer’s or dementia,” says Grape. “I could not be more delighted to have it in the Benchmark family today so we can elevate human connection in the Walpole area,” he says.

New Pond Village celebrated the recent completion of an $8 million renovation and opening of its Memory Care neighborhood – the only one in Walpole, Massachusetts. Upgrades also included the dining room and common areas on the lower level as well as units throughout the community.

“It was a wonderful event and a team effort by all. We appreciate all the support from the residents and elected officials, chamber of commerce and others who took time to come out,” said Adam Manchester, campus executive director for New Pond Village. Manchester joined the team at New Pond Village in August.

New Pond Village residents, family members, friends and local officials attended the event, including State Sen. Paul Feeney and State Rep. Paul McMurtry. Official citations from the Massachusetts House of Representatives and Senate were presented at last week’s event.

Resident Council President John Tincler, a resident for more than seven years, says the community is “certainly terrific” after the latest upgrades completed by South Coast Improvement Company.

“We thank you for all the improvements over the last few months,” said Tincler.
